We are really pleased to welcome Miss Kate to DJDA.

She began dancing at age 4. Age 9 she joined Sereno School of Dance where she was able to develop in Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre, while also performing in multiple shows including at Disneyland Paris.

At Greenbank High School, she completed GCSE Dance and was involved in the extracurricular dance clubs and shows. She joined Preston College Dance age 16 and after 4 years studying there, she gained a 1st Class BA Hons Degree in Dance Performance, Teaching and Choreography alongside ISTD DDE qualifications in Imperial Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre and National Dance. Kate has also completed another ballet teaching qualification through the RAD.

Preston College Dance also provided her with experience of other dance genres such as Musical Theatre Dance, Commercial/Street Dance, Jazz technique, Lyrical and Contemporary. Creating choreography is where Kate excels, its one of her favourite parts of teaching, alongside seeing students grow in ability while enjoying themselves.

Kate has been teaching at Impulse Dance Academy every Sunday for 2 ½ years, gaining experience in entering students for exams and choreographing show pieces for a variety of age groups. Furthermore, she recently started working at Tallia School of Dance every Saturday.

Kate is passionate about a variety of music styles and one of her hobbies is learning the piano. Being imaginative through crafts such as embroidery is another hobby she enjoys. Kate is really looking forward to being part of the DJDA team
