Debbie Jay Harding is the owner and principal of DJDA. She is a registered teacher of the PTD (Professional Teachers of Dancing) and holds Associate and Licentiate status and is a Trainee examiner. Debbie is a qualified Module One Acrobatic Dance Teacher and is also qualified in the Progressing Ballet Technique Programme, as well as holding the RAD Teaching certificate.

As a youngster Debbie attended Miss Berel’s classes in Formby before studying for 3 years at the Former Elliott Clarke Theatre College in Liverpool. After graduating Debbie worked as a children’s entertainer on the Stena ferries to France, then travelled further afield to live and work in Japan as a professional dancer, Head Girl and Chief Choreographer on various contracts for numerous months.

In 1998 Debbie passed her Teaching Exams with the highest mark of Distinction. Debbie firmly believes that children learn through fun. The correct technique is always taught but in a fun way that the children will remember and understand.

Miss Debbie is married with two grown up children, she feels extremely lucky to do a job that she adores and is truly grateful to all the supportive parents that send their children to DJDA.

Miss Debbie has thoroughly enjoyed her 21 years of teaching and hopes to teach for many more. She is really looking forward to welcoming old and new pupils to DJDA once again.
